Block 28

Block 28, explores the interaction of space and the human. Homo sapiens as the creator of rectangular worlds, made from concrete. Infinite reflections capture the condition of the human soul, boxed in, squared away and blocked out in the solid uniformity of apartment buildings and housing estates, A squareness that we call home. Prying into the interior space of home via peep-holes the visitor explores the space within and is confronted by an infinite expanse of endless right-angles prompting individual reflection and discovery.

Individually slab-built and glazed ceramic cubes surrounded by 4 mirror walls inside a wooden viewing tower. The installation can be accessed via two viewing holes.
